Burst Apart was good, but it pales in comparison to the emotion The Antlers had on Hospice. Their new EP titled Undersea strikes a pretty good balance between their new, more commercial, more listenable sound and the emotion of the previous record.

I always make a pretty concious effort to not post much electronic music because frankly, I jut don’t know it as well as guitar music but I just love the new Purity Ring, Purity Ring record

Zulu Winter’s new album really reminds me of Cherry Ghost. I think it’s just his voice and delivery. This track doesn’t sound as much like Cherry Ghost, it’s probably the most upbeat track from the album, or at least the most dynamic.

The new Fiona Apple record is amazing. Her voice is powerful, her songs well crafted and her arrangements add yet more depth. The way it opens is breathtaking so here’s the first track from it.

This album is a pretty mixed bag, and I’m not gonna pretend that this voice doesn’t grate on me by the end of the record. This track however is a diamond in an otherwise pretty average album. I love those strings, and the structure of it all.

This track is awful long for a song essentially based around one simple riff but it stays interesting with some guitar work fnd simple airy vocals.

It’s been a little while since I made a post, sorry about that. First I got sick then my girlfriend got sick and now I’m not home for a few days and updates are likely gonna stay pretty sporadic. Here’s a track to keep the you going . The whole album is beautiful so it was hard to pick a song to feature but here’s probably my favourite song from Port St. Willow’s new album.

This song is alright but this video is phenomenal. I watched this at work and it really moved me so I figured I’d share.
